A password manager is software application that you install on your computer designed to store and manage your online credentials (e.g., usernames and passwords). Antivirus software was designed to detect and mitigate malicious software that is targeting your computer. It’s good to have but it will not protect your computer from every malicious software threat because the threat actors are out maneuvering the antivirus software companies.
